SECTION COLLAGE OF THEATER
In addition to registering environmental change, the project also serves as a barometer for cultural change by providing space for experimental performances. The main element that takes advantage of the change is the theater; when compressed, it houses performances that require a stage and backdrop, and when extended, it provides space for more informal, interactive theater pieces and social events. Sets are stored on floating barges in the garage behind the theater. Shown here is the formal theater at low tide.
