STUDIO PROJECT

An Architectural Proposal for Registering Environmental and Cultural Change in, on, and about the East River (2008) The main element that takes advantage of the change is the theater; when compressed, it houses performances that require a stage and backdrop, and when extended, it provides space for more informal, interactive theater pieces and social events. Sets are stored on floating barges in the garage behind the theater. Shown here is the formal theater at low tide. graduate school project; critics: Laurie Hawkinson with Sean Gallagher
