The architecture of these proposed discussion centers would combine contemporary fabrication techniques with local building traditions in a series of systems that would be flexible enough for each community to design and build its own center to suit its needs. This first system was for lightweight canopies and screens. Prefabricated wood components would keep the bamboo in bending to create rigidity.
